I snagged a holga. For those not in the know this is a notoriously cheap medium format camera. It’s all plastic (even the lens) is prone to light leaks, has no focusing or control over shutter speed and has two aperture settings. Why would someone like me pick up a camera like this? I’ve read a ton about them online and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I’ve also wanted to start shooting film again and medium format specifically and this was the cheapest entry into doing that. We’ll see how it goes, I’ll post scans of my “good” shots from this thing as I get them, don’t hold your breath for anything amazing though… they’re not known for that.

I’ve seen nothing but great reviews about this bag from everyone who has it. So far I think it’ll be great, after picking it up and scoping out all the pockets and zippers I loaded it up and tried it on. The pack felt amazing. The previous one I’ve been riding with, my Lowe CompuTrekker AW wasn’t nearly as comfortable when moving and jumping around. Not to mention the Lowe bag has no way of carrying skis or avalanche gear. Two very important factors for my upcoming ski season. So, I’m pretty stoked on this pack and can’t wait to give it a go on the slopes, which should happen soon. I intend on giving a full review once I spend some more time with it.
